This was the first time Club Off Road had visited the site this year due to foot & mouth, and it was a raging success.

Several hundred vehicles turned up to play in the mire and the hazy fog just added to the atmosphere. Numerous recoveries were necessary due to a plenty of over-enthusiastic driving and one scary moment where an unaccompanied SJ's handbrake failed sending it rolling backwards down a hill with the owner it hot pursuit.

A memorable semi-successful recovery was where one SJ tried to tow another out and ripped its own front bumper clean off. you know who you are!
